Taurus is a supplier to all segments of the paper packaging industry.
Taurus has built up a capacity to annually convert in excess of
32 000 tons of paper into printed, high quality bags for the paper packaging industry. During 2015 Taurus supplied more than 500 million units to our South African and neighbouring state customers.
Our factory, that focuses on packaging materials for the food industry in the retail market, is fully ISO compliant and conforms with all the regulations of the Bakers & Millers association regarding food safety.
Taurus is expanding capacity and upgrading its machinery on a continuous basis. We have commissioned the latest fully automated sack line in July 2013, the first of its kind in South Africa.
Taurus makes use of both local and imported paper depending on customer requirements. Bag types include: Open Mouth Sewn, Self Opening Satchets, Pasted Sleeve Valve, Open Mouth Pasted Bottom, Bags with Carry Handle and sacks with HDPE liners as well as High Gloss Polly Coated Bags.
