Today, this fiercely independent enterprise has emerged as the principal bag and sack manufacturer in southern Africa, converting an estimated 28 000 tons/year of paper into high-quality sacks and bags for multiple industries, and supplying more than 500 million units to customers in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
The Linaflex is a 4 colour stack press pre-printer, increasing our printing capacity to an estimated 300 million meters per annum.
The Truimph 3G with paper handle application capabilities. This is the only machine of its kind in South Africa at present. The machine can produce various size bags in both 1 and 2 ply construction with handles. Taurus believes this will open new, previously unavailable opportunities and possibilities to our customers.
Recently Taurus Packaging invested in 3 generators, one at each of our sites to ensure uninterrupted production given the current and possible future energy crises. The generators supply sufficient power to sustain our entire current production capacity as well as future expansions.
